John is an experienced Management and personal development specialist and has extensive experience of working within a wide range of industries sectors from Aerospace to Utilities and Manufacturing to Project Management. He is a Chartered Psychologist with a MSc. in Occupational Psychology. He has extensive management / consultancy, coaching and training design and delivery experience. He has devised a personal change curve (the Process of Transition AKA the Fisher curve) and experience of organisational change.
Before becoming a development specialist John has had a varied career, originally joined the Royal Air Force as a craft apprentice and working on aircraft radar and radio systems. He then moved to work for a simulator manufacturer on the South coast before moving to work as a Project Manager at British Aerospace (BAe). John then changed track again and helped deploy the Customer value in BAe, winning a Society for Consumer Affairs Professional award in 1999 for his work in BAe. Latterly John was the management development trainer within Balfour Beatty Utility Solutions
As well as possessing accreditation to work with personality profiles (MBTI, OPQ, IE), John is an experienced facilitator and trainer and has organised, and been a guest speaker at, conferences in the fields of Personal Construct Theory and change management. John is also qualified as an NLP Business Practitioner and a certified facilitator of “Leading Bold Change”, one of a small but growing community of practitioners in Europe who are authorised to deliver this innovative, and effective, programme.
Outside work John actually does have a life! (although he and his wife would probably dispute this). He is a past chair of the North West of England branch of the British Psychological Society. John is a prolific reader and Rugby League fan – especially Keighley Cougars.
