Bernard is a Business and Coaching Psychologist and Consultant with Flint Consulting. He has extensive experience in working in management and organisational development for a range of multinational organisations and has been involved in major change projects, both as an internal and external consultant.
Bernard’s early career was in sales and sales training in the pharmaceutical industry. He then spent fifteen years working in HR Development and OD roles for organisations including Unilever, Black & Decker and Nuffield Hospitals. Having delivered performance management systems and worked on major organisational change projects, Bernard found himself drawn more towards dealing with the fundamental psychological issues of organisational change. He returned to Psychology, studying and training as an Occupational Psychologist. Having worked as consultant for OPP (a major business psychology consultancy firm) for seven years in a variety of roles, he now works as a freelance Business and Coaching Psychologist.
He works across all sectors, typically with Directors, and senior managers on both a team and individual basis. By combining his expertise in psychology and psychometrics with his extensive organisational experience, he can provide supportive but challenging facilitation, for either teams or individuals facing the challenge of change. An experienced trainer and facilitator, Bernard works on leadership development programmes and is a certified facilitator of “Leading Bold Change”, joining a small but growing community of practitioners who are authorised to deliver this innovative programme. As a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development and having an MBA, Bernard brings a blend of business understanding and psychological insight into his client work.
